As brand manager you are faced with lots of challenges in these turbulent times. Not long ago you divided your budget over certain items, based on experiences built up in many years. However, as even Unilever and Heineken are now relocating their budgets, time seems to have changed for good. Not that life is becoming easier. There are so many new possibilities: web logs, podcasting, search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, mobile marketing, co-creation, all kinds of gaming and user generated content. And also internal branding, corporate branding, and employee branding. It is impossible to do it all, and yet you do want to stay successful.
Without a doubt, lots of questions now arise. Can our brand architecture stand the time? What will our brands look like in the future? What will be the new role of the marketing department? What new services should I offer, and what services should I stop offering? What products should we develop? How can we make our customer contact center a profit generator? What is the role of internet in customer contacts? Do we need to start looking for partners, and what competences do we have to start develop ourselves? How do we change the internal organization? Are the employers involved in our brand at all?
If you have a vision of the developments of media and brands in the future, it is easier to make the right decisions today. It then is easier to choose your strategy. I can assist you in this, by giving a tailored presentation at an inspiring location, by facilitating a workshop, or putting together a training (in cooperation with partners) for you and your colleagues. From experience I know this can be very refreshing. In a workshop at Interpolis we reached results that far exceeded the expectations.
Jan-Ite de Ruyter, account manager Interpolis:
“Erwin organized a very inspiring, day-long workshop for the concern communications department. Topic of conversation was the influence of the digital revolution on branding. Erwin’s ideas about coaching brands and coaching brand agents very much helped us in getting a clear vision of the future.”
