As established advertising agency you have been a dedicated discussion partner for your clients for years. Even so, over the last couple of years you have noticed small cracks in the relationships. A growing part of the communication budget is spent through other parties, and not through your agency any more. Continuously new start-ups appear, which with their new technology take away budget from your clients. When I worked for Ogilvy, I saw it happen before my very own eyes.
In this play field you undoubtedly have lots of questions. How can I change the tide? What new services do I have to offer? How can I use creativity in a different way? How am I going to make money? What knowledge do I have to obtain? What would the ideal organization look like? What do we do in-house? In what cases do we use subcontractors? How do we establish credibility as an innovative partner?
If you have a vision of the developments of media and brands in the future, it is easier to make the right decisions today. It then is easier to choose your strategy. I can assist you in this, by giving a tailored presentation at your agency, by facilitating a workshop, or putting together a training (in cooperation with partners) for you and your colleagues. You and me can also facilitate a shared workshop for your clients, in order for you to have a firm foundation with them to work on their brand(s). From experience I know this can be very refreshing.
At advertising agency FHV BBDO I hosted an afternoon workshop for strategists, creative people, and account people. Besides the general vision of media and brands, we especially discussed three specific brands.
Otto Kokke, Research Manager at FHV BBDO:
‘Very inspiring and insightful. Erwin van Lun provides a sharp interpretation of your own vague ideas about the future. A lot of material that keeps you thinking for quite a while.’
