On January 1st, 2005, I started my Dutch blog Mensmerk.nl to keep track of the developments I predicted in my book ‘Van Massamerk naar Mensmerk’. It was the first book/blog combination in the Netherlands. In 2008 the website was given three nominations for the longlist of Dutch Bloggies (the race for the Netherlands’ best blogs). Two of these made it onto the short list (top five list). One in the category ‘best marketing blog’, the other in the category ‘best design’. The nomination that only made the long list fell in the category ‘business’.
